Tutorial
A step-by-step walk through dex-tokens.io: find a token, read its page, buy with the trade panel and keep a watchlist.
This tutorial takes you from the home page to a trade in four steps: find a token, read its page, buy it with the trade panel, and add it to your Watchlist. Reading needs no account. Trading and lists need you to sign in.
How do I find a token?
Open the search box in the site header. Type a name, a ticker or a contract address.
- A contract address is exact: it opens one token, with no look-alikes.
- A name or ticker can match several tokens. Same name, different token? Check the address before you go further.
- The tabs above the results show your Recent searches, Trending searches on the site, your Watchlist and Boosted tokens.
You can also start from a board, such as Trending on the home page.
How do I read a token page?
The top of the page shows the token's name, address, price and market figures. Below that are the chart and the trade panel. The security block lists checks such as mint and freeze authority, holder count, top-10 holder concentration, liquidity and how long the token has traded.
A dash (—) means we have not measured that figure. It does not mean zero, and it does not mean the check passed.
How do I buy with the trade panel?
- Sign in, and link the wallet you want to trade from.
- Choose Buy, then an amount of SOL. Check the slippage setting.
- Read the quote. The panel shows the fee before you sign.
- Sign in your wallet. Nothing moves until you sign.
Selling works the same way, with a share of your balance (for example 25%, 50% or 100%). Trades are built by Jupiter. A trade can fail or land later than expected, and a confirmed trade cannot be reversed. See Terms & Conditions section 10.
How do I keep a watchlist?
On a token page, press the eye (👁) beside the token's name to add it to your Watchlist, or the star (☆) to add it to Favourites. Your Watchlist shows in the ticker strip, in the search Watchlist tab and on your profile page. If you are signed out, the button asks you to sign in first and then finishes the add.
